This ‘Exploring 3D Shapes with Colours for KS1’ resource is an interactive, hands-on learning experience that supports learning of 3D shapes, particularly cubes,colour and pattern recognition. By engaging with a variety of activities, from building, colouring to puzzle solving, children will develop essential skills like problem-solving and spatial awareness. Sheet 1 is a planning sheet with 5 suggested ideas for using the resources. Sheets 2,3 and 4 are colour posters showing cube patterns for children to recreate. Sheet 5 is a large colour cube made up of smaller cubes - children can recreate the cube. Sheet 6 is a black and white version of the large cube. There are 3 worksheets for children to copy and recreate patterns. Finally there is a template of cubes that children can cut out and use in a variety of ways.
